Fitalga®: published clinical study

 

Fitalga®, a two brown seaweeds aqueous extract, is a powerful inhibitor of digestive enzymes, α-amylase and α-glucosidase. Its efficiency was recently highlighted by a clinical study - published in December 2011 - on healthy subjects: Fitalga® not only reduces Glycemic Index after a starch-rich meal (-48%), but also reduces Insulinemic Index and increases Insulin sensitivity from the first intake. That’s why Fitalga® is a regulator of glycemic and insulinemic control mechanisms, with its consequences on satiety, lipogenesis, fat assimilation and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT)...

       First application is Impaired Glucose Tolerance (prediabetes type 2).

       Second application is Weight Management.
